We arrived at the Crowne Plaza in Garden Grove at 11am, when the Disneyana Show and Sale was open to the public. We stood in line for a while to buy tickets and then entered the adjacent room since we weren't sure which of the two rooms Olszewski Studios would be in. Turns out, they were in that very room, in the same location where Decker's Fine Arts used to be. And just as their newsletter email promised, there was lots of new stuff to see.
The last set (set #5) of floats in the Main Street Electrical Parade is still slated as the next release in the Disneyland Main Street miniatures collection. The release of the set has been pushed back to December 2012. This set will be more expensive than the prior sets since it has seven floats (the other sets each have five), and the price range is expected to be $155-$165. There wasn't a prototype available yet, so it looks like this will be a piece that we won't get to see until release day.
Development is continuing on Storybook, and it apparently looks spectacular. The release of that piece has been pushed back to Spring 2013.
The Disneyland Fantasyland platform was on display, and included were paper mockups of the Fantasyland Skyway chalet, the Toontown Train Station, and the Kodak kiosk/small world ticket booth.

The holiday overlay pack, with Main Street decorations for Fourth of July, Halloween and Christmas, may be available by the end of the year. If it's ready, it would be released on the same day as the Electrical Parade floats in December. The holiday overlay pack would include the Mickey pumpkin that sits on Main Street in Town Square, in the same spot where the Christmas tree sits during holiday time.
You can create your own Halloweentime on your Main Street Platform with the Mickey pumpkin.
The long-awaited character packs will finally make their debut in 2013. There are three sets of character packs scheduled for release in Winter 2013, and each pack will come with two bases, two sets of characters and two vehicles. The characters and vehicles can be placed on your Main Street platform, but those who don't have the platform but still want the characters and vehicles will have a little scene so they can display them. Each character pack set is expected to be $125-$145. Click on this link for a detailed listing of the three forthcoming character pack sets.

A fourth character pack is being prepped as well, and that will include a Halloween scene consisting of the Mickey pumpkin and the Fab Five in their Halloween costumes as well as an as-yet-undetermined vehicle. It is not yet known what the second base in the pack will be, whether it will be a second Halloween scene or possibly a Christmas scene. That character pack is expected to be released in Fall 2013.

Yes, they made the winking side of the Mickey pumpkin too!
The C.K. Holliday train (which was apparently intended to be part of the Grand Circle Tour celebration, as is evident in the packaging) was finally released at Disneyland a few weeks ago and can be found at the Disney Gallery and Disneyana. There may also be some available at the World of Disney. The train consists of two separate items - the engine is sold by itself for $135, and the set of three cars is sold as a separate pack for $130.

Yes, I suppose they could be decorated so that they were "fright" cars, but I don't believe that was their intent.
Yes, it's another Disney typo on their merchandising/signage.
Yes, I keep offering to spell-check for them. No, they never call me.
For those who ordered the Disneyland Fantasyland platform, they are expected to be available to collectors in early September. For those who might have missed out on ordering them, it's possible there may be some available after all the pre-orders are filled. If you're still interested, contact Olszewski Studios to see if they're still taking orders or if you can be on a waiting list for any still available after orders are filled.
As with the Main Street platform, American Plastics Corporation in Camarillo will again be producing a plexiglass cover for the Fantasyland platform. If you'd like to be added to the list to order a Fantasyland platform plexiglass cover, contact Armando (or Robert, the owner) at American Plastics - (805) 484-3333. No information in currently available on the price of the cover or when the cover would be available.
For those who ordered for the next run of the Disneyland Main Street platform, they're expected to be available to collectors in August or September. As with the Fantasyland platform, if you missed out on ordering, contact Olszewski Studios to see if they're still taking orders or if you can be put on a waiting list.
On the Walt Disney World miniatures front, the release of the Magic Kingdom's Ice Cream Corner ($335) has been moved to December 2012 and Casey's Corner ($395) is due out Summer 2013. Pirates of the Caribbean has been pushed back to early 2014, and whereas it was previously contemplated that the moats at the upper end of Main Street would be available in four sections, it is now expected that there will only be two sections, left and right, and they would be available directly through Olszewski Studios in 2013. The release of the Magic Kingdom Main Street platform has also been pushed back to 2013.
The Pokitpals release of Ursula, Ariel, Cheshire Cat, Goofy and Captain Hook has been moved to August 2012, and new Pokitpals of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Ramone are due in Fall 2012.

And speaking of "Cars", a new line is being launched by Olszewski Studios called PlayScapes. The first two products in the line are inspired by "Cars" and are display backdrops depicting a scene from the film, and collectors can display their own collection of "Cars" cars in the scenes. The collection is expected to launch in Fall 2012 or Winter 2013, and each will be in the $85-$95 range, and more scenes from "Cars" will be forthcoming next year as well. I would love to see Flo's or the Cadillac Range - wouldn't you? In addition to "Cars", Olszewski Studios is also planning PlayScapes related to other Disney films as well, which would include themed figurines to go with the display backdrops. The backdrops can be put on a shelf or mounted on a wall.

For those who customarily plan to attend the Disneyana Show and Sale, which is normally held in January and July, please be advised that the January show (usually held around the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday) is being moved to February (during the Presidents' Day holiday). The next show will be on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza in Garden Grove. While the July show was still spread out over two rooms, and Mickey's of Glendale was still present, we noticed the absence of several vendors, especially The Walt Disney Studios Store and the El Capitan's Soda Fountain and Studio Store. We will continue to attend as long as we know that Olszewski Studios will be present. We'll see you in December for the release of the last set of Electrical Parade floats and hopefully the holiday overlay pack.
